The British Spiritist Medical Association hosted a webinar to celebrate the life and work of Dr. Alan Sanderson, a pioneer of the inclusion of spiritual therapies into mainstream psychiatry in England. The online tribute included talks and a Q&A session with Dr. Andrew Powell and Dr. David Furlong.

Tidbits of #SpiritualHistory for July
- July 7, 1930: Writer and Spiritualist Sir Arthur Conan Doyle discarnates. The creator of Sherlock Holmes and former President of the International Spiritualist Federation believed Spiritualism to be "the most important thing in the world."
- July 8, 1938: The spiritualist magazine Two Worlds publishes a message from Brazilian Spiritist Cairbar Schutel to his Portuguese friend Frederico Duarte by the English medium Mary Wood -- a fact which reminds us spirituality goes beyond geographic borders.
- July 13, 1856: English medium Florence Cook is born in London. Cook was famous for materializing the spirit Katie King, studied by Sir William Crookes.
- July 13, 2005: Divaldo Pereira Franco gives the first public Spiritist talk in Auckland, New Zealand.
- July 16, 1193: Saint Clare of Assisi, one of the first followers of Francis of Assisi, is born in Italy. Clare founded a monastic order known today as the Poor Clares and is a previous incarnation of spirit author Joanna de Angelis.
- July 17, 1919: Famous scientist and psychic researcher Sir William Crookes discarnates on this day in 1919.
- July 28, 1890: Medium Elizabeth D'Esperance materializes a 7-foot tall golden lily during a physical effects meeting in England where many scientists, including Alexandre Aksakof, were present.
- July 30, 1952: Air Chief Marshal Lord Dowding, who played a significant role in the Battle of Britain, successfully requests the House of Lords to recognize Spiritualism as a religion in the British armed services.
