- Academia on Mediumship: The article What Does Mediumship Tell Us About the Mind Beyond the Brain? by Marianna de Abreu Costa and Alexander Moreira-Almeida has been published in the special issue of the International Review of Psychiatry. This work delves into mediumship as a potential window into understanding the mind’s ability to exist beyond the brain, contributing to the broader scientific discourse on consciousness. The issue is part of a collection exploring evidence and perspectives on the survival of consciousness.
- Dr. Peter Fenwick, a British neuropsychiatrist and neurophysiologist known for his pioneering research on epilepsy, near-death experiences (NDEs), and end-of-life phenomena, discarnated November 22nd. Initially skeptical, his perspective on NDEs shifted after hearing compelling patient accounts, leading him to collect and analyze over 300 cases, significantly advancing the field. He co-authored several influential books with his wife, Elizabeth Fenwick, including The Art of Dying, and advocated for holistic approaches to end-of-life care. Dr Fenwick participated in many Spiritist events, including congresses held by the Spiritist Medical Association and the British Union of Spiritist Societies. Some of his talks:

Spreading Holiday Joy: 22 Years of Giving in Tijuana
|
|
|
|
|
For 22 years, the Allan Kardec Fellowship Society of San Diego volunteers have brought joy and hope to underserved communities on the outskirts of Tijuana through their annual Christmas in Mexico event. On December 7th, 2024, a team of 36 volunteers delivered 500 toys directly into the hands of excited children waiting to see Santa Claus. They also served 600 hot dogs, 600 cups of Coke, and 500 candy bags, spreading holiday cheer to families in need. Their kindness extended to the area’s stray animals, providing 40 pounds of dog food and 20 pounds of cat food to feed hungry dogs and cats drawn to the festivities.

This spirit of giving continues beyond the holiday season, as volunteers deliver monthly food baskets to these communities. - December 5, 1934: Humberto de Campos, Brazilian writer and reporter, discarnates in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was a member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, and after his passing, he came to write through Francisco Cândido Xavier, adopting the pseudonym of Brother X.
- December 9, 1938: Suely Caldas Schubert, Brazilian writer, lecturer, and Spiritist medium, was born in Carangola (Minas Gerais), Brazil. She wrote several books on Spiritism and had a close relationship with the famous medium Chico Xavier.
- December 30, 1880: Epes Sargent, an American author, poet and advocate of Spiritualism who played a significant role in promoting and explaining the concepts of Spiritualism, discarnates in Boston, USA.
