- The Joanna de Angelis Spiritist Congress in the UK a Success: The 3rd International Joanna de Angelis Spiritist Congress brought together approximately 170 participants from around the world at High Leigh Conference Centre in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, England. Over two and a half days, attendees engaged in experiential learning exploring the profound intersection between the spiritual works of Joanna de Angelis and the psychological insights of Carl G. Jung. The congress focused on "Spirituality and Psychology: Understanding Your Thoughts, Feelings and Emotions," providing participants with transformative moments of study, fellowship, and exchange of enriching experiences. This international gathering demonstrated the growing global interest in bridging spiritual wisdom with psychological understanding for deeper personal development and healing. Next year, the congress goes to Portugal.
- The U.S. Spiritist Symposium Visits Michigan: The recent U.S. Spiritist Symposium in Ann Arbor, Michigan was a memorable gathering, drawing around 150 attendees from across the U.S. and abroad. Centered on the theme “The Evolution of Consciousness,” the event offered enlightening presentations and heartfelt fellowship. Now in its 19th edition, the U.S. Symposium remains the largest Spiritist event held in English anywhere in the world. To watch the talks, visit USSF's YouTube channel. On the following day, about 60 volunteers from Spiritist groups nationwide gathered at the Coast-to-Coast Reception to deepen connections and strengthen community ties. The diversity of participants highlighted the universal appeal of Spiritist teachings and the growing unity of the movement across North America and beyond—underscoring the vital role these gatherings play in nurturing our collective spiritual journey. The Symposium returns to Florida next year for its 20th edition!
- Celebrating Spiritist Milestones in FL and TX: The Spiritist Center Chico Xavier in Delray Beach, FL marked 10 years of service and spiritual outreach, while Houston’s Sunrise Spiritist Society of Texas celebrated its 8th anniversary of study, connection, and community building. - New Podcast Launch – Spiritist Companion: Our friend Dr. Yuri Castro has just launched a new English-language podcast, Spiritist Companion, now available on YouTube and Spotify. The show offers thoughtful reflections and accessible discussions on Spiritism for both newcomers and longtime students. Give it a listen and help spread the word!
- Spiritist Radar Podcast Wraps Up—for Now: After thoughtful consideration, we’ve decided to pause The Spiritist Radar podcast due to limited engagement. We’re deeply grateful to all who tuned in and supported the project. Rather than a farewell, this is simply a refocusing of our efforts, as we continue to grow other parts of the Spiritist Radar and always remain in need of volunteers. As our movement evolves, so will our offerings—so stay tuned, and thank you for being part of the journey!

- September 2, 1914: Eugene Auguste Albert de Rochas, French researcher, and military engineer known for his studies in the field of psychic and mediumistic phenomena, discarnates in Grenoble, France.
- September 5, 1892: William Stainton Moses, English cleric, medium, spiritualist writer and a prominent figure in the early spiritualist movement, discarnates in Bedford, England.
- September 6, 1853: Victor Hugo, the renowned French writer, poet, and playwright, attends a séance session of table-turning for the first time, at the suggestion of Delphine de Girardin, in Jersey Island, France.
- September 8, 1888: The First International Spiritist Congress was held in Barcelona, Spain. It marked an important event in the history of Spiritism, and contribute to developing and disseminating Spiritism as a spiritual and philosophical movement.
- September 17, 1839: Ira Erastus Davenport, an American medium of physical effects, was born in Buffalo, New York, USA. He became known for the public sessions he conducted alongside his brother.
- September 25, 1914: José Herculano Pires, a Brazilian journalist and Spiritist writer, is born in Avaré, São Paulo. He authored over 80 books and saw Spiritism as a way to reconcile science and spirituality.
- September 27, 1847: Cosme Mariño, Argentine journalist, Spiritist writer, and prominent figure in the Spiritist movement in Argentina, is born in Buenos Aires.
- September 27, 1813: Epes Sargent, an American author, poet, and advocate of Spiritualism who played a significant role in promoting and explaining the concepts of Spiritualism, is born in Massachusetts, USA.
- September 29, 1904: Marina Leymarie, French author, discarnates in Paris, France. She was also the widow of Pierre-Gaëtan Leymarie whom she succeeded in the leadership of the Spiritist Bookstore and the Revue Spirite after his passing.
- September 30, 1897: Thérèse of Lisieux, French Catholic nun and author, discarnates in Lisieux, France. She gained recognition for her writings on spirituality,
