• "Nosso Lar 3" Is Underway: A third installment of the André Luiz series is being brought to the silver screen by Director Wagner de Assis, who was also responsible for the previous films. Production has already started for the film, which is loosely based on "Workers of the Life Eternal."
• New Mediumship Catalogue: The International Spiritist Council (ISC) has launched a new international catalogue of books on mediumship. Created by the ISC's Team for the Study and Practice of Mediumship, this resource lists books in 13 different languages and aims to support the study and education of mediumship in line with Spiritist principles. You can access the catalogue through the resources section of the ISC's website.
• New Docuseries "Beyond the Brain": Interest in understanding consciousness continues to grow. The BIAL Foundation has released "Beyond the Brain," a 16-episode documentary series featuring leading scientists, philosophers, and researchers who explore the nature of consciousness beyond traditional materialist perspectives. With episodes covering topics such as near-death experiences, mind-brain relationships, and altered states of consciousness, the series invites viewers to engage with questions that have long been explored in Spiritist thought—now gaining traction in mainstream academic circles. Selected Tidbits of #SpiritualHistory

• August 1, 1865: Allan Kardec publishes Heaven and Hell, the fourth book of the Spiritist Codification, in Paris, France.
• August 3, 1889: Emma Hardinge Britten, an English writer, orator and medium, passes away in New York. She was an advocate for the early Modern Spiritualist Movement.
• August 7, 1941: Rabindranath Tagore, Indian spiritualist philosopher and poet, discarnates. Tagore was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913.
• August 11, 1826: The American medium Andrew Jackson Davis is born in Blooming Grove, USA. Known as the "John the Baptist of Modern Spiritualism," he played a pivotal role in popularizing the spiritualist movement in the mid-19th century.
• August 16, 1886: Dr. Bezerra de Menezes, a famous Brazilian Spiritist and Spirit author, becomes a Spiritist. Bezerra, as he is better known, would play an outsized role in the dissemination of Spiritism in Brazil.
• August 18, 1927: Cosme Mariño, a famous exponent of Spiritist in Argentina, discarnates in Buenos Aires on August 18, 1927.
• August 20, 1873: Aléxis Carrel, French thinker and psychic investigator, is born in Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, France.
• August 20, 1971: Famous Brazilian writer Amélia Rodrigues discarnates in Salvador, Bahia. Rodrigues would later dictate beautiful books about the Gospel of Christ via the mediumship of Divaldo Franco.
• August 22, 1940: Sir Oliver Joseph Lodge, FRS discarnates in Wiltshire, England. Sir Oliver was a British physicist and writer involved in the development of, and holder of, key patents for radio and an avid supporter of Spiritualism.
• August 31, 1926: The Portuguese Spiritist Federation (Federação Espírita Portuguesa - FEP) is founded in Lisbon #OnThisDay in 1926.
