Speaker B:A new study published in the Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry has found a potential genetic link to mediumship.
Speaker A:This is big.
Speaker A:Researchers from top Brazilian universities analyzed 54 experienced mediums and compared their genetic profiles to their first degree relatives who aren't mediums.
Speaker B:And what they found is mind blowing.
Speaker B:Mediums had over 15,000 unique genetic variants affecting more than 7,000 genes.
Speaker B:Many of these genes are associated with sensory perception, immune system function and the pineal gland.
Speaker A:The pineal gland.
Speaker A:That's something spiritists have long considered linked to spiritual perception.
Speaker A:Now we have genetic research backing it up.
Speaker B:This study opens the door for more scientific exploration of spiritual faculties.
Speaker B:Could there be a biological factor that makes some people more sensitive to spiritual communication?
Speaker B:Spiritists have always said that mediumship is a natural faculty.
Speaker B:And now science is catching up.
Speaker A:Speaking of catching up, let's talk about learning opportunities.
